Ely, February of 2007. He won BOB all 4 days of the Denver shows and made the cut in the group ring on Sunday.
What a pretty face!
On the move out at the horse pasture. He has a beautiful side gait, smooth topline and a ground covering stride. The boy is tireless!
Ely's Pedigree
...................
Ely, 8 weeks old.
This picture was taken at Jena's on the day I picked him up and brought him home. What a cutie!
Ely finished his championship at the Tri-State Kennel Club show in Tulsa on November 4 of 2005, at the age of 21 months, under Judge Steve Hayden. This was my first set of shows in the ring, Jena couldn't make it, as she usually was the one to show him, and I was a nervous wreck, but, boy was it fun finishing him. Needless to say, I got the bug!
The next time he was shown, and it was by ME, was in Denver, at the Plum Creek KC shows in Feb. of 2006. I just entered him one day out of the four. This was his first time out as a "special" and there were some top 20 dogs there and a few pro handlers. Again, I was nervous. The judge was Mrs. Mildred K. Bryant. Well.... out of 7 competing for Best of Breed, Ely won! I wished I would have put him in all four days!
He finished the 2006 year at the number 34 spot for conformation dogs. He was only shown on a limited basis through the 2nd week of September of 2006.
Not too bad!
"Snow Dog"
Ely loves the snow, so when we had our first blizzard of the season last October, he took full advantage of it. Bailey.....as in Ch. Cimarron SNOW Bunny...was no where to be found outside that day!

Out trailing the horses!
Ely.......
always out for a good time. He's my "toy" boy. First thing in the morning, we have to play with his "chuggle" toy. I'm not to be left alone until we have played keep away for at least 15 - 20 minutes. He is my dog that does the Siberian Huskey imitatian of "Roooing" at me until he gets my full attention. That is a trait that he inherited from his Dam and that he sometimes passes on to a few of his off spring.
He loves to go bike riding with me, and one of his absolute favorites is to go out to the horses, summer or winter. I am hoping to get a Road Dog title on him someday. His endurance is never ending!
This past year, Ely and I participated in the Dalmatian Distance Log Program through DCA. My goal was to reach 500 miles with him by the end of the year. We didn't make it, but we did recieve a bronze award for over 200 miles. We accumulated those miles by walking, biking, horse back riding, hikes in the mountains and jeep excursions where he run's beside the jeep. He absolutely loves doing that!
You can find more information on the Distance Log Program at www.thedca.org under "Events and Programs"
Keep checking for more updates and new pictures of Ely!
